REVIEW: 1D Perfume!

On Sunday the 25th of August, I went with my 2 friends and sister up to Harrods in London to go and get a look at One Directions new perfume: Our Moment.

We got to Harrods half an hour before it opened but you could feel the anticipation in the air as we all waited to burst through the doors to the most famous store in England.

When the doors finally did open, after what seemed like an enternity: PEOPLE RAN. People got excited and the rush of excitement reached its peak. We ran 4 flights of stair and avoided various obstacles only to be told there was actually a queue outside Harrods on the opposite side of the building.

This queue was for the, wait for it... Ultimate Experience where not only could you write on a post it note for possible the boys to see but you could also have your photo taken in a photo booth, with the cardboard cut out of one direction annnnnnd sit in the very seat that Louis Tomlinson himself sat in on the set of the advert! How very exciting!

We queued for an hour and reckoned   there were probably about 400 people there. We battled rain, very bright sunshine and carrots who thought they were cool singing one direction songs. Ugh. But we made it inside!

And oh my good god! They ultimate experience was fab apart from the fact my sister broke the photo booth (sorry of you were in the queue behind us!).

Now lets get down to the perfume. The perfume smells INCREDIBLE!!! It smells sweet but at the same time as an underlying scent of musk and I adore it!

The bottle is also fantastic! It is sooo pretty and I have it (along with the box-dont judge me) displayed on my chest of draws in pride position.

I am not at all kidding when I say you NEED this in your life! One direction have outdone themselves this time with I believe the best perfume on the planet!

Will you be buying the perfume?? Let me know and thanks for reading! X

One Direction Lipstick Review!

Just to let you know I only bought two lipsticks but I'm gonna review both!

When I saw One Direction were releasing a makeup line called Little Things I felt a mix of excitement (the inner carrot in me) and kinda embarrassment! I hate some of the merchandise that has been produced like the stationary and lunch boxes - it just makes me cringe.

However, I saw the colours of the makeup, namely the lipsticks and I swear I fell in love!

The lipsticks are so creamy and easy to apply, unfortunately the 1D logo on the top of the lipstick comes off as soon as you've applied it.

It comes in a bullet shape and has Kiss You written on the bottle with two x's and a star!

The first lipstick I bought was Liam's called I WANT. Even though he is not my favourite band member I had to buy the lipstick just for the colour alone. It is gorgeous.
It is a mix between red and pink, I would probably say fushia but when you apply it, it has a sheen to it. I just think it's such a lovely colour that I had to purchase it!

I then bought Harry's which is called BE MINE. Harry is my favourite but I do also like the colour as well, which is quite a deep red and definitely the darkest and richest colour in the collection.
When you apply it, the colour is not actually as rich or dark, and you could easily change the deepness of the red by putting Vaseline underneath the lipstick.

Zayn and Niall's colours are a shade of pink and Louis' is quite a light purple, almost lilac :)

The lipsticks are £3 each and can be purchased from:
mua.com
superdrug.com
You can also pick them up from any superdrug store and I found mine on the MUA makeup stand.

Thanks for reading! Byeeeeeeee <3

P.S. I apologise for what you can see of my face- I seem to have completely broken out in millions of spots ughhh!

Review: Natural Collection ShineAway Foundation & Pressed Powder

Hi!

Today I am going to review 2 of the Boots own brand products of Natural Collection.

ShineAway Foundation
Price: £1.99
Colours: Porcelain, Sand, Biscuit

I have this in the colour porcelain. I have quite light skin but a lot of redness and also red hair to give you an idea. At first when I bought the product it was alright. It was quite flaky and I have noticed as time has gone on, it has got more and more flaky and doesn't cover my skin evenly. I would say that it doesn't really help the shininess of my face, if anything it makes it shinier still, so I would say that this product is NOT suitable for oily skin at all. I do notice that it brings out my spots so I do try not to use it regularly but that is just my annoying skin for you! However, I have to give some credit, bearing in mind it is only £1.99, I shouldn't expect an amazing product.

Pressed Powder
Price: £1.99
Colours: Warm, neutral, cool

I would say this pressed powder, for the price, is VERY GOOD! I have warm and it gets rid of all shine on my face much better than the foundation. I use either a sponge which is from a makeup kit/brush (Colourworks) and that is fine. As with most powders it does pick up all your hairs on your face, and sometimes around my nose especially it does look very fake and nott very nice. For £1.99 you don't get a lot in the little tin and if you were to use it everyday then it wouldn't last you longer than 2 weeks depending on how much of it you need to cover. But it does do tthe job, and I would recommend it over the foundation.

Overall:
I would recommend the Pressed Powder, but I would splash out on a more expensive brand of foundation to use with the pressed powder becuase the ShineAway Foundation is just not very good whatsoever! Sorry Boots!

Hope you enjoyed my makeup review, let us know if you want reviews on more makeup things!

Thanks for reading, and don't forget  to +1!!!

One Direction - Take Me Home REVIEW

Yes! We know this is very slow considering the album came out LAST YEAR, but we just couldn't help ourselves!!

I received the album for Christmas and I fell in love with it almost instantly. I had already heard, along with half the nation, the first few songs on there, like Live while we're young and Kiss You.

I have to admit I was momentarily disappointed to see that there were no lyrics in the front of the album case which meant I couldn't sing along to my favourite songs by One Direction just to annoy the neighbours...not that I do that anyway...

But the moment soon passed as I sat listening to the whole album. And then I came across Number 9.
Now, we've all done it, you sit there listening to the track and immediately think 'No, this is not for me, this is so completly wrong and so not what I want from One Direction', but instead of changing the track you wait just to see if anything changes in the chorus.

Now the song I am talking about is 'I Would'. If you've heard it you know that the are almost 3 parts to the chorus, and in every part there is a new drum beat added. OMG is all I can say. It is just amazing and all the way up and down the country my family were blessed with listening to this track ON REPEAT,, that's right!

It is seriously immense and I can't stop listening to it. i even do the actions and the background singing all by myself. You only embarass yourself that much if you are truly IN LOVE with a song. So I suggest you buy the track, even if it is just to hear harrys' solo where you have to admit you pretend he is singing to you.

My other favourite song is They Don't Know About Us which i firstly love because it starts of with a piano solo. Now, being an avid piano player myself, there doesnt seem to be any piano solos matched with pop songs apart from the odd song from alicia keys. the second reason I love it is because it is a slow and calming song and its a bit different from the rest of the album and it is a great song to have on repeat.

So, in conclusion: you must buy the album, congratulations to One Direction for  a very successful album but the one message I think we can take away from this is:

One Direction: You have permission to Take Me Home :D

Look how cute they are!!! ^^^^^^

Body Shop Products REVIEW.

Hi!

So today I am going to review two products I purchased from The Body Shop.

I actually ordered them online the other day to take advantage of the 40% off an free delivery over £5 that was on offer- they were practically giving the products away!

The first product I bought was the banana shampoo.  I bought the 250ml and after all the offers it was around £2.50. The smell isn't overly powerful hut there is definitely a sweet scent of banana and it is made sweet by Fairtrade honey extract! It hasn't changed my hair, an maybe that is because I didn't buy the conditioner to go with it, but it was a lovely texture and felt like it washed my hair out well without having bucket loads of chemicals in it!

The second product I bought was the tea tree face wash in also 250ml. This was around the £3 mark after taking of the 40%. I really like tea tree oil and I feel like it does quite a lot for my skin and clears it up. After I'd used the wash, my face felt extremely  clean and it smelt fresh I have oily and dry skin which I know a large percentage of people have but it is so annoying! I would say that it worked on the oily part of my face (the t-zone) because it literally sucked the oil from my face! As you can imagine this wasn't good for the dry part of my face which was left in a bit of a bad way but that was soon fixed with moisturiser. So, I would say this is perfect for people with oily skin, and if you have a mixture of skin types then just put the wash on the oily parts of your face.

So, in conclusion I would recommend both products but obviously if you have dry skin do NOT go for the wash because it will strip your skin of it's natural oils.

Thanks for reading and let me know what you think of Body Shop products!
